Lonely

Alone in a desolate world
I walked through lonely roads and saw
A pretty lass crying
Whispering her lovers name, calling him back
He is no where to be found…
I ensconced near her
“I attended his wedding today” she murmured and sighed
I gave her a hug
and walked again…
Saw an old man couched
I sat near him …he rumbled
“Searching the star my son today is,
he left me alone, alone in this lonely world”
“I buried him today”
I couldn’t stop my tears
Made a short prayer and left
Walked through those lonely roads, those lonely roads once again…
I met a young lad
shouting and cursing.
I stopped and looked at him
What’s wrong?
“She ditched me, left me for someone else”
You will find someone better
“I want no one else”
Keep the faith I said and walked
I walk through those lonely roads again and wonder
Where has smile disappeared?
Where have promises vanished?
Why has truth disappeared?
Where has love evanished?
With so many people around,
Why are we sad and solitary…

Hi There!!
I just visited a site I had set up for my 4 year old grand daughter, but my hubby already has one, so I haven't done much with it yet. I do, however, have another one. This is it!!!
Thanks for the lovely comment at Poodo!!
Your poem is so beautiful. And so true. Where has love, compassion, and tenderness gone? Hopefully, I can share a little, cause I am full of love! Visit me sometimes. I would enjoy the company!!!
Lots of happy hugs and love, to you and your family!!!

i appreciate ur concern. u dun find happiness in this world. well, i'll tell u something.. the way we percieve the world, depends entirely on us.. if u jsut look at it a bit diferently..
u'll find...
a loving family nearby..
a loving couple ina park..
humanity reflected thru some..
small kiddos playing n enjoying..
etc etc..
it all depends on how u see it. the world is complex.. n it contains it all... evrything is there.. :)..

Recognize this undiscovered gem which is poised to jump!!
Please read the following Announcement in its Entierty and
Consider the Possibilities
Watch this One to Trad,e!
Because, EGTY has secured the global rights to market
genetically enhanced fast growing, hard-wood trees!
EGTY trading volume is beginning to surge with landslide Announcement.
The value of this Stoc,k appears poised for growth! This one will not
remain on the ground floor for long.
KEEP READING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
===============
"BREAKING NEWS"
===============
-Energy and Asset Technology, Inc. (EGTY) owns a global license to market
the genetically enhanced Global Cedar growth trees, with plans to
REVOLUTIONIZE the forest-timber industry.
These newly enhanced Globa| Cedar trees require only 9-12 years of growth
before they can be harvested for lumber, whereas worldwide growth time for
lumber is 30-50 years.
Other than growing at an astonishing rate, the Global Cedar has a number
of other benefits. Its natural elements make it resistant to termites, and
the lack of oils and sap found in the wood make it resistant to forest fire,
ensuring higher returns on investments.
T
he wood is very lightweight and strong, lighter than Poplar and over twice
as strong as Balsa, which makes it great for construction. It also has
the unique ability to regrow itself from the stump, minimizing the land and
time to replant and develop new root systems.
Based on current resources and agreements, EGTY projects revenues of $140
Million with an approximate profit margin of 40% for each 9-year cycle. With
anticipated growth, EGTY is expected to challenge Deltic Timber Corp. during
its initial 9-year cycle.
Deltic Timber Corp. currently trades at over $38.00 a share with about $153
Million in revenues. As the reputation and demand for the Global Cedar tree
continues to grow around the world EGTY believes additional multi-million
dollar agreements will be forthcoming. The Global Cedar nursery has produced
about 100,000 infant plants and is developing a production growth target of
250,000 infant plants per month.
Energy and Asset Technology is currently in negotiations with land and business
owners in New Zealand, Greece and Malaysia regarding the purchase of their popular
and profitable fast growing infant tree plants. Inquiries from the governments of
Brazil and Ecuador are also being evaluated.
Conclusion:
The examples above show the Awesome, Earning Potential of little
known Companies That Explode onto Investors Radar Screens.
This s-t0ck will not be a Secret for long. Then You May Feel the Desire to Act Right
Now! And Please Watch This One Trade!!
GO EGTY!

I've really wanted to ask you this for ages.....
Do you really believe in love the way you describe it? I don't mean to be sarcastic or anything....as in, I really wonder..... Personally, I refuse to accept love as this divine thing which can not be explained logically and which "just happens" and which is "unconditional" and all that......I regard it as the fairytale concept....the "someone somewhere is made for you" thing as per me is something silly......
And yet, in you I find someone totally opposed to my school of thought....at least in the things you write, it comes across that way.....am really intruiged.....do you really think that way? And if you do, is it because of any logical and apparent reasons? Or just a belief that believing in it and expecting it is better than disbelieving and living a life of mundane reality?
Cheers!

wow ... 57 comments ... thats intimidating .... anyways this is a very good poem with confident, undeniable and self defined articulates ... too good poetry from literary point of view ... and a pretentious self-involved piece of poetry from the point of view of any sensible/reasonable person/guild ... no doubt that this song has the capability to entice thousands of peoples except those about whom you have mentioned in this master piece ...
you are no less than a award winning intellectual poet who writes a song on a beggar walking on the foot path seating in the balcony of your 5 storeyed apartment ... describing (extra narrating)his misery and pain ... and wins another award by selling that song...
well if you are as good as your blogs then you know what i mean ...
well my judgment can be reasoned for the COMMENTS option in your beautiful and marvelous blog ... and of course the human nature of finding other's faults ...
i found the poem as a description of Hypocrisy ... the other word may be Second Hander / Sadistic ...
the above judgments are based on this single poem only ... i am no body to judge you ... :)
your flirt with english words amuse me ... keep it up :)
